August 1st, 2010, AM Holy, Holy, Holy - is the Lord
Revelation 1:5 Jesus Christ– the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, the prince over the kings of the earth: the one who loves us and has loosed us from our sins by shedding his blood; and made us a kingdom of priests to his God and Father - to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever! Amen.
Revelation 1:10 I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and I heard behind me a loud voice like a trumpet Now - Text of the Day: Revelation 4:1-11 After this I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven!
Genesis 28:16-17 When Jacob awoke from his sleep and said, "Surely the Lord is in this place; and I did not know it." He said, in fear "How awe inspiring is this place! This is none other than the house of God, and this is the door of heaven."
And the first voice, which I had heard speaking to me like a trumpet, said, "Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after this." At once I was in the Spirit.
1 Thessalonians 4:16 The Lord himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise.
1 Peter 4:6 Now, this is why the gospel was preached even to the dead so that though judged in the flesh like men, they might live in the spirit like God.
The Throne of God Behold, a throne stood in heaven, with one seated on the throne. He who sat there had the appearance of jasper and carnelian, and around the throne was a rainbow that had the appearance of an emerald. Around the throne were twenty-four thrones, and seated on the thrones were twenty-four elders, clothed in white garments, with golden crowns on their heads. From the throne came flashes of lightning, and rumblings and peals of thunder, and before the throne were burning seven torches of fire, which are the seven spirits of God, and before the throne there was as it were a sea of glass, like crystal.
Isaiah 6:1-3 In the year that King Uzziah died I saw the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up; and his train filled the temple. Above him stood the seraphim; each had six wings: with two he covered his face, and with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew. And one called to another and said: "Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of hosts; the whole earth is full of his glory."
Ezekiel 1:22-24 Over the heads of the living creatures there was the likeness of an expanse, shining like awe-inspiring crystal, spread out above their heads. Under the expanse their wings were stretched out straight, one toward another. And each creature had two wings covering its body. Whenever they went, I heard the sound of their wings like the sound of many waters, like the sound of the Almighty, a sound of tumult like an army.
The Beings of the Presence Around the throne, on each side of the throne, are four living creatures, full of eyes in front and behind: the first living creature like a lion, the second living creature like an ox, the third living creature with the face of a man, and the fourth living creature like an eagle in flight. And the four living creatures, each of them with six wings, are full of eyes all around and within, and day and night they never cease to say, "Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come!"
Ezekiel 1:8-11 Under their wings on their four sides they had human hands. And the four had their faces and their wings thus: their wings touched one another. Each one of them went straight forward, without turning as they went. As for the likeness of their faces, each had a human face. The four had the face of a lion on the right side, the four had the face of an ox on the left side, and the four had the face of an eagle. Such were their faces. And their wings were spread out above. Each creature had two wings, each of which touched the wing of another, while two covered their bodies.
Luke 1:18-19 Zechariah said to the angel, "How shall I know this? For I am an old man, and my wife is advanced in years." The angel answered him, "I am Gabriel, who stands in the presence of God, and I was sent to speak to you and to bring you this good news.”
Whenever the living creatures give glory and honor and thanks to him who is seated on the throne, who lives forever and ever, the twenty-four elders fall down before him who is seated on the throne and worship him who lives forever and ever. They cast their crowns before the throne, saying, "Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they existed and were created."
The Real World
"Come up here, and I will show you what must take place - At once I was in the Spirit.
