The Woodland Street Pulpit Gary Allen Henecke DD The Evil Babylon is Fallen “Through the Blood of the Lamb” August 29, 2010 AM
Revelation 12:1-11 A great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun and the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars; and she was with child; and she cried out, being in labor and in pain to give birth.
Then another sign appeared in heaven: and behold, a great red dragon having seven heads and ten horns, and on his heads were seven diadems. And his tail swept away a third of the stars of heaven and threw them to the earth. And the dragon stood before the woman who was about to give birth, so that when she gave birth he might devour her child. The woman gave birth to a son, who is to rule all the nations with a rod of iron; and her child was caught up to God and to his throne. Then the woman fled into the wilderness where she had a place prepared by God, so that there she would be nourished for one thousand two hundred and sixty days. There was war in heaven, Michael and his angels waging war with the dragon. The dragon and his angels waged war, and they were not strong enough, and there was no longer a place found for them in heaven. Then the great dragon was thrown down, the serpent of old who is called the devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.
Isaiah 51:9 Awake, awake; put on strength. Awake, as in days of old, the generations of long ago O arm of the Lord. It was you who cut Rahab in pieces, and pierced the dragon. It was you that dried up the waters of the great deep; that make in the depths of the sea a way for the redeemed to pass over? Yes, the redeemed of the Lord shall return to Zion with singing; everlasting joy shall be upon their heads; they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away. Revelation 20:1-2 Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, holding the key of the abyss and a great chain in his hand. And he laid hold of the dragon, the serpent of old, he is the devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years;
Then I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, "Now the salvation, and the power, and the kingdom of our God and the authority of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren has been thrown down, he who accuses them before our God day and night. And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life even when faced with death.”
Daniel 10:13 Then the angel said to me, "Fear not, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your mind to understand and humbled yourself before your God, your words have been heard, and I have come because of your words. The prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one days; but Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, so I left him there with the prince of the kingdom of Persia.
Luke 10:18-20 Jesus said to them, "I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. I have given to you authority to tread upon snakes and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy; nothing can harm you. However, do not rejoice in the fact that the spirits are subject to you; but rejoice that your names are written in heaven."
Revelation 12:12 Rejoice then, O heaven and you that dwell therein! But woe to you, on earth and sea, for the devil has come down to you in great rage, for he knows that his time is short!"
Revelation 14:8 Another angel, a second, followed, saying, "Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great, she who made all nations drink the wine of her impure passion."
Revelation 14:13 Then I heard a voice from heaven saying, "Write this: Blessed are the dead who from now on die in the Lord." "Yes," says the Spirit, "they will rest from their labors, for their deeds follow them."
